This policy explains what information CartPlate collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1.Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (or a private relay address if you choose Hide My Email).
Content you add. Links you import, screenshots and photos you upload, recipes you save, edits you make, and prompts you write to our AI features.
Grocery details. Your grocery lists, the retailer you choose, and the ZIP code used to look up local prices.
Subscription status. If you subscribe, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive whether your subscription is active, not your payment details.
Usage and device data. App interactions, crash reports, device type and OS version, used to keep the app working and improve it.
2.How we use information
To import and structure recipes, calculate nutrition estimates, generate AI edits and drafts, build grocery lists, price carts, and provide support. We do not sell your personal information.
3.Imported content and AI processing
When you import a video, we process its audio, caption and on-screen text to extract a recipe. Your prompts and recipe content are sent to AI service providers to produce edits and drafts. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
4.Retailer integrations
When you send a list to Kroger, Walmart or Instacart, we share the items and quantities with that retailer to build your cart. Checkout happens with the retailer, and their privacy policy applies to what you do there. We do not receive your payment details.
6.Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app under You → Delete account, or by emailing support@cartplate.com. Deletion removes your recipes, versions and lists from our systems, except where we must keep records by law.
7.Children
CartPlate is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
8.Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing support@cartplate.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights; contact us to exercise them.
9.Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
