Delete your CartPlate account
How to delete your CartPlate account and the data that goes with it, in the app or by email, and what stays afterward. CartPlate is made by Everwood Ventures LLC.
In the app
Have Pro? Cancel it first
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, then delete your account.
Open the You tab.
In CartPlate, on your iPhone or Android phone.
Tap Delete account.
That’s You → Delete account.
Confirm with Apple or Google.
Sign in again with the account you use for CartPlate. Your account is deleted right away, and it can’t be undone.
Without the app
Emailsupport@cartplate.comEmail support@cartplate.com and ask us to delete your account. Send it from the email address on your account, or tell us what that address is.
If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, that address is the one Apple made for CartPlate. You’ll find it in your Apple Account, under Sign in with Apple.
We may ask you to confirm it’s you. We’ll delete the account and tell you when it’s done, within 30 days.
What’s deleted
- Your account and profile: your name, email address, ZIP code, your answers and your settings.
- Your recipes: every recipe you saved, and every version of it.
- Your imports: the links, captions, transcripts and photos.
- Your plans: collections, meal plans and cook history.
- Your grocery list and past sends, and CartPlate’s connection to your Kroger account.
- Your notification tokens, so nothing more reaches your phone.
What stays, and why
- Your subscription, until you cancel it. Apple and Google bill it, not CartPlate, so deleting your account can’t stop it. Cancel it in your store’s subscription settings.
- Records of past purchases. Apple, Google and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, keep them for billing and tax, under an id that no longer matches any account.
- Crash reports, analytics events and email delivery logs. Our providers hold them under an id or an address, and they expire on those providers’ schedules.
- Backups of our database. They roll off within 7 days.
- Your Kroger account. It’s yours, not ours: anything already in its cart stays there.
Delete some of your data and keep your account
You can delete things one at a time in the app, or ask us to delete specific data. Your account stays.
In the app
- A recipe: open it, tap ··· and then Delete recipe. Its versions, its cook history and the import it came from go with it.
- A cook: in a recipe’s cook mode, tap Cooked under Last time, choose the cook and tap Delete this cook.
- A planned meal: on the Plan tab, tap the meal, then Remove from plan.
- A collection: open it from your Cookbook, tap ··· and then Delete collection. Its recipes stay in your Cookbook.
- Your grocery list: on the Grocery tab, tap an item or a recipe, then Remove from list.
- Your Kroger connection: on the Grocery tab, tap your store, then Disconnect. CartPlate deletes the key it kept.
